Dermal fillers have become some of the most popular and effective treatments for signs of aging in the face. Patients see dramatic results from these noninvasive injections. The treatments are safe, nonsurgical, and can be done relatively quickly and with little to no downtime.
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances made from hyaluronic acid (HA). They aid in filling in areas that have lost volume, thus plumping the skin and creating a smoother appearance. Some fillers can last for 6 to 12 months, while other fillers can last 2 to 5 years!
Fillers can be dissolved using hyaluronidase which is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid.
As we age, volume loss in our face can contribute significantly to the signs of aging. When dermal fillers are injected conservitavely in the correct area and depth, the natural contour of your face can be restored, resulting in a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
Our goal at Lux Lab is not to change your appearance, but to enhance your natural features.
Dermal fillers provide wide-ranging benefits to enhance and rejuvenate your look, including:
· Smoothing lines, wrinkles, and creases
· Plumping the lips
· Accentuating the cheeks

If you want to enhance facial volume, reduce wrinkles, or augment specific features, you may be a good candidate for fillers. Patients with realistic expectations and good overall health are normally suitable candidates.
Downtime after dermal filler is usually minimal. However, patients may experience temporary side effects like swelling, redness or bruising which typically resolve within a few days.
During your treatment your injector will treat targeted facial areas with a fine needle or cannula. The procedure does not take long; usually lasting around 15-30 minutes. Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure.
Results are often noticeable immediately after the treatment. You may be swollen or bruised post treatment, so full effects may take a few days to settle after the swelling or bruising subsides.
